Andy Thompson

Andy Thompson is a Brisbane-based editor and motion designer with over a decade of experience crafting content for agencies, brands, and broadcasters.

He kicked off his career at Traffic Film and Video, working across TVCs, branded content, and corporate video. After gaining a solid foundation in fast-paced, high-quality post-production, Andy packed his bags and headed for Vancouver, Canada.

There, he found a home at boutique animation studio Slap Happy Cartoons, where he spent six years working on animated TV series’ and a feature film as a compositor and animatic/post production editor, for clients such as Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, Netflix and Nickelodeon. His credits include titles like Tom and Jerry (Warner Bros), Apple and Onion (Cartoon Network), and Teen Titans Go! to the Movies (DC/Warner Bros). Between projects, Andy freelanced as an editor and motion design artist on a range of commercial and corporate projects.

Now back in Brisbane, Andy splits his time between animated episodic TV series and commercial projects. With a global reel under his belt, he's always up for new collaborations and loves jumping into projects where creativity and strategy meet.
