MURAYA MOORE

Muraya is passionate about telling unique and compelling stories, known for her striking visual style and her fresh creative approach to projects. She is unafraid to make bold choices that challenge the status quo and set her work apart, whilst staying true to the heart of each project.

Her short film ‘Blood Sisters’ premiered at SXSW Sydney in 2024 and earned her a nomination for Young Australian Filmmaker of the Year at the Byron Bay Film Festival. Her previous shorts ‘Prima’ and ‘Lemons’ also garnered national recognition at several prestigious festivals. Her body of work ranges across short films, music videos, experimental films and documentary. Most recently she worked on ‘Power Nadeshiko’, a Japanese women’s empowerment series funded by the Queensland Government, educating on domestic violence awareness and support.

Muraya strives to use her work to give voice to the stories that go untold, crafting authentic performances and gripping narratives that truly reflect who we are.
